One of the gifts my grandson received for Christmas is a magnetized erector set. It contains dozens of plastic cylinders in a variety of bright colors, all with magnets embedded in each end. Known as earth magnets, these little bits of attracting power are incredibly strong. Breaking them apart is difficult because of the inherent pull between the poles.

Because of this magnetic pull, the cylinders can be linked together to create any number of three-dimensional objects that will hold a shape indefinitely. The only way to deconstruct the object is to remove a magnet or at least turn it so that its attraction to the others is diminished. Only then can the strength of the pull between the cylinders be lessened enough to break the constructed object apart.

What a wonderful example these magnets are of how we, as thinking creators, draw our desires to us. Whenever we desire or need anything we automatically establish a certain vibrational frequency based around that desire or need. The intensity of the vibration is determined by the strength of the thoughts, feelings and emotions associated with the desire. It is literally filled with magnetic power.

As long as we maintain the vibration, the fulfillment of the desire is as drawn to us as one magnet is drawn to another. When we think about what we want, when we visualize it, dream about it, speak lovingly of it, dwell on it, feast on it and revel in it, then it comes to us. It can't resist coming to us. The manifestation of what we want is so filled with its own irresistable need to rush to us that it literally cannot be stopped. Unless we choose to stop it by turning away from it.

We make this choice whenever we think and say things like:

• "Why isn't here yet?"
• "Why can't I have what I want?"
• "Maybe I don't deserve it."
• "I must be doing something wrong."
• "I must not be visualizing correctly."
• "Maybe what I want isn't good for me."

Such statements as these destroy the magnetic pull because they automatically lower our vibration. So how do we stop allowing these little attraction destroyers into our thinking processes? By paying close attention to what we think, say and do.

We carefully monitor our thoughts and when we realize we've said or thought something capable of diminishing our magnetic pull, we immediately replace it with an affirmation that our good is, indeed, coming to us. We keep doing this over and over again until eventually we train our minds to block any thought that reduces our ability to be deliberate creators.

This magnetic pull is an inherent part of our creative systems. But just as one small magnet placed in a red cylinder will also attract magnets placed in blue, yellow or greeb cylinders with equal ease, so does our magnetic system draw to us anything that is of a matching vibrational frequency. It doesn't matter what that it is. It's drawn to us by the vibration sent forth. Nothing more.

So when we begin wondering why our good has not come yet, or questioning whether or not we're good enough, we create a delay. Our good cannot come because we keep sending out a vibration of it not being here yet, thereby keeping it at bay. When, however, we change that to an affirmation of allowing our good to be recognized and accepted, it flows easily to us.

This powerful magnetic force is built right into our creative systems. It works infallibly, whether we ask for a pebble or a palace because it's not the size of our desire that matters, it's the vibration we attach to it.

Creating a more abundant life is actually a very simple and easy process. It's we humans who try so hard to make it difficult. But whenever it becomes a struggle, it's a clear indication that the vibration we are sending out is repelling our good. And we have the ability to immediately stop the repulsion.

By paying attention to our thoughts and words and making necessary corrections, we can easily change the vibration and redirect the magnetic power within us. And in so doing, we become irresistable to what we want. And it becomes irresistable to us.
